Kelly Hood

Kelly Hood is a multi instrumentalist from Lively, Ontario near Sudbury. There has been music in her family for many generations, her Grandfather played the button accordion and uncles were fiddlers and tin whistlers. She starting piping with the Walden Highlanders at 11 years old. She has been playing the uilleann pipes for a number of years now and her playing is well regarded in piping circles.
Aside from her music Kelly is a highly regarded designer and seamstress. Amongst her achievements are designing and making the camera bags for the IMAX teams that climbed Mount Everest and those used in the Space Shuttle flights.

Recent recording work includes:
Ceilidh House (RTE), Castles Music (NZ), Johnny Borra, John Eccleston, Jim Fay, Doug Barr, Alexander Keith's, Anneliese Cameron, Solitudes, Scotia Bank and Leah Salomaa. Her uilleann pipes are made by David Quinn and Benedict Koehler.
