Wedding Ceilidhs:
Wedding ceilidhs are becoming more and more popular as couples realise the fun that can be had with a great band and caller. No one is left sitting as young and old alike can participate, even with no experience. As long as you can tell your left foot from your right you're off to the races.
Spraoi's alter ego, The Cabbagetown Ceilidh Band (named after the area surrounding the historic Goderham and Worts Distillery District) has performed at scores of weddings and dances in Ontario, upstate New York and Pennsylvania over the last few years to great acclaim. Our references and recommendations speak for themselves.
The Cabbagetown Ceilidh Band caters for Irish / Scottish and Canadian weddings. Dances like The Walls of Limerick, The Siege of Ennis, The Gay Gordons, The Canadian Barn Dance, The Dashing White Sergeant and the Pride of Erin Waltz are staples in our repetoire. We are often asked for specific dances that couples remember from studies abroad in Scotland or Ireland, no problem, just write out your list and let us go to town.
